Since 1997 Lisa has been studying, practicing and living Eastern Medicine. As a full time practitioner, Lisa has mastered treatment techniques for a multitude of conditions. Continuing education is a huge priority in Lisa’s philosophy. New techniques and knowledge to share with both her clients and students is what ignites her. It is Lisa’s priority to provide the highest possible quality treatment for her patients, and course of study for her students.  The statement “the proof is in the pudding” has always stood as Lisa’s motto. Her highest intention is to provide the best and most effective treatment possible for her clients.

Lisa is the past President of the Shiatsu Society of Ontario, and Shiatsu Therapy Society.  Over the years Lisa has been an instructor , as well as a Supervisor in the Shiatsu and Acupuncture student clinics at the Shiatsu School of Canada.  In the past two years Lisa has been writing and teaching her own continuing educations courses. These include self-care practices for clients.

Over the past 20 years, Lisa has studied Martial Arts, and been a certified pilates and movement practitioner for over fifteen years. As a practitioner, Lisa has studied Traditional Thai Massage, Reflexology, Shiatsu Therapy, Acupressure, Moxibustion, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Japanese Acupuncture, and Cosmetic Acupuncture. Further studies have included working with such masters as Ted Saito, Kiiko Matsumoto, Suzanne Yates, Junji Mitsutani, Tak Tsurusaki, Wang Ju Yi and more. Her thirst for knowledge and travel takes her around the world to learn from the masters.

Each treatment is different, as no two clients are the same.  Using her arsenal of techniques, Lisa has developed her own individual style of treatment that works on both the structural aspects of the body and the subtle deeper energetic imbalances that exist within. Lisa’s treatments are very effective for many disorders, as well as deeper imbalances in the body.

When she is not seeing clients or teaching, you might find Lisa in her garden fussing over her fruits and vegetables that she grows organically from seed.  What you put in your body is such an important part of our health, as is keeping our carbon footprint to a minimum.
