Since 1997 I’ve committed my life to the study, practice and healthy lifestyle systems that are found in Eastern Medicine. As a full time practitioner for over 20 years, I have developed highly effective treatment techniques for a multitude of conditions. This is largely due to the fact that I have never stopped studying and learning about this amazing and endless amount of knowledge that is available. The work fascinates me!! I have traveled all over the world including Asia, Europe, the United States and Canada to study with masters and leaders in the healing industry to learn more about the mysteries of the human body, injury, and healing techniques. More recently I find myself travelling abroad to teach some of the methods that I have developed over the decades of my own practice.  I truly believe that the best teacher will be the eternal student, and that every client and situation is a new and exciting mystery to unravel.

As the past President of the Shiatsu Society of Ontario, and Shiatsu Therapy Society, I volunteered countless hours of my time in trying to build the modality of shiatsu therapy in our communities.  Over the years I have been an instructor, as well as a Supervisor in the Shiatsu and Acupuncture student clinics at the Shiatsu School of Canada (now AIM nIstitute), and more recently at the OCTCM.  In the past few years I have spent a lot of time writing and teaching my own continuing educations courses to practitioners to help them save their hands, and give more effective treatments. These include self-care practices for clients.

Over the past 20 years, I have committed to the study of Martial Arts, and became a certified pilates and movement practitioner. As a practitioner, I studied Traditional Thai Massage, Reflexology, Shiatsu Therapy, Acupressure, Moxibustion, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Japanese Acupuncture, and Cosmetic Acupuncture. I have continued my studies by working with such masters as Ted Saito, Kiiko Matsumoto, Suzanne Yates, Junji Mitsutani, Tak Tsurusaki, Wang Ju Yi and Jefrey Yuen. My thirst for knowledge and travel continues to take me around the world to learn from the masters.

Each treatment is different, as no two clients are the same.  Using an arsenal of assessment techniques, I develop a treatment plan that will work for my clients based on their own life situation and commitment to the process. My style of treatment works on both the structural aspects of the body and the subtle deeper energetic imbalances that exist within. Treatments are very effective for many disorders, as well as deeper imbalances in the body, and symptoms that are often considered unresolveable or ‘normal’.

When I’m not seeing clients or teaching, you might find me in my garden or at my farm property convening with nature.
